MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to image the body. MRI is commonly used to examine the brain, spine, joints, abdomen and blood vessels. Some MRI exams require an injection of an MRI contrast or dye. It is important not to move during the exam. All MRI exams are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist with extensive experience in MRI.

X-RAY AND FLUOROSCOPY

(X-Ray and Fluoroscopy) Diagnostic radiology, as well as routine fluoroscopic examinations are available to study a full range of disorders and diseases. X-rays of the chest, abdomen, spine and extremities are taken, and special tests to view the stomach, intestines and kidneys are also performed. All exams are performed by board-certified radiologists with extensive experience in these areas.

COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY

(CT or "CAT" scan) Computed Tomography uses x-rays to take images of the body that can be reconstructed in all 3 plains and for performing special image-guided procedures. All CT scans are interpreted by a board-certified radiologists with extensive experience in this field.

ULTRASOUND

An ultrasound is used to create images from inside the body by using sound waves instead of radiation. Examples of diagnostic ultrasound examinations include abdominal, pelvic, obstetric and small parts scanning. All ultrasounds are performed by board-certified sonographers and are interpreted by board-certified radiologists with extensive experience these areas.
